The Study Program Tadris Biology at the State Islamic University (UIN) of Mataram has a long developmental history, rooted in the transformation of Islamic higher education institutions in West Nusa Tenggara. Its origin can be traced back to the Faculty of Tarbiyah at STAIN Mataram in 1997, which was established to prepare prospective professional teachers equipped with pedagogical, scientific, and social competencies in accordance with societal needs.
The Study Program Tadris Biology at UIN Mataram was officially established on May 15, 2001, based on Decree Number E/123/2001 signed by the Director General of Islamic Institutional Development. The program began its operational activities in May to provide higher education, as part of efforts to develop study programs at the State Islamic College (STAIN) Mataram and to enhance the quality of human resources in the field of Islamic sciences.
